Every once in a while one finds work that is far beyond what is though can be done. This is obviously great work and I wish her much success.

My guess is that the leaves are fresh when she sews them and they dry over time. If they were dry first, they'd be too brittle, I'd think. Incredibly impressive, either way.

She uses "very small needles and very small hooks" the leaves are real and not treated.
I can't imagine.
More of her work is available for viewing there. It is fascinating.

Did it say anything about prices? Never mind, I looked.
they might be magnolia leaves...they have a rubbery texture to them...even when dried...so beautiful...
