My first lap rug ever! Was taught how to do Tunisian crochet and this one took me about two months on and off. A gift for my Aunt. I know all of the flaws in it but am going to be proud of it regardless.

You should be! Just finishing something that intricate is to be celebrated. Great job!

Don't apologize for the flaws. I recall reading/ hearing that Navajo rugs were made with an intentional flaw to appease the "gods"....so to flaw is so very human!

I don't need to deliberately make mistakes I have a talent for making them so all good. I have also heard that in the Middle East crafters will make a deliberate mistake so the work is not perfect.

@Budgie The article I gave you points that out...but they were all "#religulous" based intentional flaws because only "gods" were perfect...yea...right....but my point is to not apologize for flaws...not even to point them out! A hand made item actually shows value with minor flaws.

It looks like a good sturdy pattern. I love the colors.

When I was buying the wool they were the only colours that I thought went well together and I liked, the green was not a great green and I am not a fan of pink.
