There are so many groups here I missed this one. I have written 2 horror novels, a book about a litter of 10 German shepherd pups (mostly real stuff) but you follow the litter for their life, they tell their own stories. The ASPCA states that only 3 of a litter of 10 live to adulthood. We're talking backyard breeder and the book is called Backyard Dog [amazon.com] You can read the reviews on Amazon. This book is my baby; my heart and soul.
I also began to write about my job as Animal Control Officer because I kept annual diaries of most of my calls but not details. I either remember the calls or wing it. It was written under an alias because it's all very real and I hated the 2nd Police chief I was going to "out" him. I decided only if I sold like 100 copies I would bother but don't think one sold. It's called Lions, Elephants and Bears by PK Foster. P=poor K=kitty (she had no name, no home and no tail) and Foster because I fostered kittens and dogs for rescues or shelters.
There was a couple in town that had a lion and elephant, the bears are all too common in the NH woods.
Writing is monster work. I have about 30 books on writing I read them all. I almost had a publisher for Backyard Dog but she couldn't suspend her disbelief and since then about 100 dog written books are on the market. SO SO frustrating.

@K9Kohle789 Problems indeed. 15 years ago, my publishing business, in addition to magazines, also published a few books. I sympathise.
@K9Kohle789 -- I will indeed check out the Backyard Dog. We don't get a lot of activity here, but what we do get is usually rather interesting. Again, welcome to the group.
