'Where Do You Find Them Beans' by DHMcCarty
I noticed an old leather valise tucked away next to the stack of 1930's Sitting Room oils. It was thick cheap leather with a multitude of barbed wire scars. Hadn't changed much since it was riding the ass of some heifer. It had a forged, slide action key lock with the tail of a thick key broken off in its bowels. No one had been successful in gaining access.
It did not possess an excess of weight. Not much faith had been vested in its contents. A 3/4" long paper tag was tied to the handle, a handwritten $12.50 price tag.
Solid depression era construction with working class components. It would last another 100 years.
I had $15.00 in my pocket.
With a little 3 in 1, two thin stiff blades and a measure of patience, I gained access.
To History.
There was a single piece of cardboard from some ancient starched shirt.
And two words in bold letters.
'Pay Attention'
"just a pile of 'Fraggiole' Nik."
My English is not up to 'Fraggiole' Nik. Is that an American brand name?
A treasure, I tell ya. How many of them you gonna find just layin' around for the grabbin', an' at jus' twelve-and-a-half bucks?;
@Lincoln55 --Yup....
