I'm writing an historic novel about the one and only witch trial held in Philadelphia, PA. i adore my MC and the twists and turns she keeps giving me are, one right after the other, both invigorating and worrisome. i am currently, for perhaps two weeks, been writing [or avoiding] a chapter in church. As an atheist, who has some very poor memories of church experiences, it is difficult to write, in detail, the ceremony of a mass without injecting negativity. However, it is a bit cathartic to see the emotions laid about in words so that i can finally put to rest the hypocrisy next to which i sat for years. I suppose it is no more or less difficult than to write scenes of great abuse, having been through that, right?
Absolutely right! I find writing these feelings down to be very cathartic. I'm working on a love scene. It has to be slow and handled with care. It's on the verge of breaking it's so fragile. What does that tell me? Lol
how beautiful you described that... it's on the verge of breaking it's so fragile. <3
