This is what writing is for me. Writing is taking a dump. The story builds inside of me until I can’t take the pressure anymore and I am forced to let it out in one fell swoop. Sometimes it comes like diarrhea, and sometime it comes out in abbreviated quick pinches. Sometimes it is like pulling teeth, which is an odd phrase to use in connection to the act of shitting. I am pretty sure if I was on the toilet and my teeth were being pulled I would have no problem releasing. Still, regardless of the context, the phrase relates that which I intend and that is sometimes writing is a lengthy process wrought with much blood and agony.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I often feel "relieved" rather than elated after finishing a story too -- if that is what you were trying to say. Or is writing to you actually no more than a routine bodily function rather than an act of compulsive creation? If so, I'd think seriously about switching hobbies. Alternatively, I think you've got the makings of a DIY proctologist-dentist combo, but beware of over-using metaphors that might turn out to be just a personal favorite rather than attractive to an audience.

@lookinhard -- No, Sir, you are not alone. I did take the time to check it out. He is a busy fellow, I'll give him that much. I wouldn't form any opinions based only on this piece of crap. There might be something there.
From what I've seen of his writing beyond what appears above, there is a talent and a feel for words. Granted, raw, but it is there. What happens when we jump too soon is that we often miss something we would rather not have missed. I will give this D.B. Tarpley aka fattafinga the benefit of the doubt for now.

@lookinhard -- Yes, but I have also read some of his writing. Just because someone waxes rude, crude, and socially unacceptable does not mean that is all there is. People are more complex than that. I will hand it to you that this post was a gigantic turn-off, but I have always held that looking beyond the surface is important. I have not read much of his work, but what I have read is promising and interesting. I shall reserve my opinion until I have seen enough.
