British High Court to Hear Landmark Judicial Review Case Concerning 9/11 Victim Geoff Campbell
On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the British High Court of Justice (Administrative Court) will hold an all-day preliminary hearing in a potentially precedent-setting judicial review case brought by Matthew Campbell, brother of 9/11 victim Geoff Campbell, challenging the decision of the attorney general (AG) for England and Wales to deny his family’s application for a fresh inquest into Geoff’s death.
Geoff Campbell was killed in the North Tower of the World Trade Center on 11 September 2001. In 2013, a West London inquest concluded that his death was caused by the impact of American Airlines Flight 11 leading to the North Tower’s collapse. The Campbell family now seeks a new inquest under Section 13 of the Coroners Act 1988, citing new evidence indicating that explosives and incendiaries, not the aircraft impact alone, caused the tower’s collapse.
The AG refused to grant the necessary fiat (consent) for such an application in January 2024. The family’s legal challenge asserts that the AG’s decision was unlawful.
Quite an interesting case. If the AGs dis-allowance of evidence is overruled, we could be looking at a completely new look at reversing the 9/11 story with accounts that were erased from the public since day one. Can this one family along with previous witness reports finally force our governments and judicial systems into opening up what has been hidden for so long?
