I am well informed about IG Farben. I believe it is now Bayer. After the war a group of financiers decided the war was caused by the inequality in incomes of various groups of people and they formed the WTO to equalize the income disparities. That group grew in size and influence and, of course, lost site of the original idea. Before the 'Battle of Seattle' my firm, KPMG, had us attend a lecture about the history and 'good' intentions of the group. Unfortunately, we all saw right through the BS and so did others hence the start of protests whenever that group held. I suspect it is the same with the Codex.
Good info that we all pretty much take for granted. Thank you.
My mother's family is has been from the AZ/UT border 'Strip Country' for almost 100 years and we've watched what locals call 'Jack Mormons' abuse and ignore food safety rules for pretty much all that time.
That is the thing I hate(I intensely dislike that word but sometimes it applies) about Ammon Bundy and his group. They call themselves ranchers but they treat their animals so poorly that no one who knows the least little bit about them would touch anything they produce.
We're vegetarian(not entirely vegan) but we see the way some people act and are completely disgusted.
The Codex is one of the mainstays of our society nationally and internationally. It deserves much more appreciation than we give it.
