I am not vegetarian, but trying to reduce step by step.
BUT
At the same time I am a compulsive eater and need to control very well my diet or It gets waaaaay out of control.
So i try to make a high protein intake (something around 120 to 140g a day and keep under 2000 calories.
I am trying to reduce and some days go without animal products, but i can never reach the good proportion on those days, plus i became hungry all the time in the process or I pass waaaay over the limit of calories due to high carbs or vegetal fat intake, so i try this on days that I know I will have a heavy load of activity.
Do you guys have some tips so I can go further in this
Ps: I live in Norway, some products here are really expensive to keep a constant diet of it.
Wow, that’s a crazy-high protein count. Perhaps look into adding tofu, seitan, and/or tempeh into your diet.
Tofu is possible to find, the others no chance in at least 50km from home XD
Oh darn. Well how about beans and nuts?
For me I don’t count calories and I make smoothies throughout the day and that keeps me full.
I put kale, peas, oranges, and figs at times.
Endless possibilities when it comes to smoothies.
If you feel hungry well do another smoothie is not going to hurt you and it’s cheaper than buying animal proteins.
Animal proteins are horrible for your health and contribute to inflammation and you are not going to lose weight. Be careful with all of that protein because that can hurt your kidneys. Make sure that you are drinking tons of water to keep your kidneys flushed.
Watch Game Changers on netflix it’s very educational.

Well, I am loosing weight and improving muscular mass, whatever I am doing is working, the easy way is to continue doing it, but I really want to try at least a reduced meat (or even no meat if I am able to balance).
.And let when I set the calories count free, even in meat free day, the weight increases.
Fruits are nice, but what are the main protein sources? (does things above 30 or 40% exist?)
Drop the carbs and don’t worry about calories from veggies would be my advice. Do you exercise?
How to drop the carbs, they come together with the rest I need. See, is easy to drop the carbs with meat, some chicken or fish solve the problem and give you a lot of protein with no fat or carbs. but in vegetables I can't find a way to balance and keep myself not hungry, I always need to go way over the calories count.
yes I exercise, And I know my dynamic because i keep tight control (more a characteristic of anxiety than something i really need).
@Pedrohbds some of these high carb foods I never eat, (in link below), but have no intention of giving up potatoes, nuts or beans regardless of calories

I find nuts and beans the best plant food to fill me up, but it may be a matter of weaning your hunger down by the sound of it and/ or looking at any emotional issues that are linked to your eating. I have an interesting book called, ‘eating drinking and overthinking’ which helped me reframe some of my thinking around these things. All the best
@girlwithsmiles Yep, When I try the veggie day Is basically beans and chickpea.
And yes as I told I eat by anxiety. The way I find tio deal with it on veggie day is to eat industrial ammounts of things like lettuce, carrots and belpper to the point there is no more space for things with "real" calories
@Pedrohbds yes, calories filled with fibre and nutritional value are such much better than the empty carbs of sweets and crisps, sounds like you’re on the right track. If you do need to slow your metabolism to stop anxiety pasta and rice are popular fillers. But I’m not a fan of them really.
Can I ask why you are counting calories?
@girlwithsmiles Because If I do not count it I lose control ( 1 or 2 weeks of uncontrolled vacation trip can easily increase 5 or 6 kg on my scale =).
@Pedrohbds as long as you remember that they’re only part of the story: [nutrition.org.uk]
All the best, sounds like you’re on the right track.
@girlwithsmiles Tgey are part of the story if you are close to your equilibrium point. They are all that matters when you can easily put 5 to 6 thousand calories a day without control =)
Anyway question stil unanswered. What kind of balancing can I do to not have to be hungry during veggie day?
@Pedrohbds I don’t know if you continue on using calories as your main guide. I’d stop doing that on meat free days as my first comment. I never count calories, sorry.
