Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Michael, it has been my experience that it is still largely a guy thing, but I get a lot of mail from readers who are female. I'd say roughly 35% to 40%, depending upon the novel. In my anthologies the percentage of female authors I sign are just about the same.
So, yes, over half it's a guy thing. Why do you ask?

I don't think so, but then my circle of Sci-Fi. fan acquaintances is limited. I have Sister who is a fan and I recently had 2 female crew members on my yacht who were real fans, so I would say it is purely a matter of personal taste rather than gender.
