Is love a "scarce resource"?
If (as I believe to be the case), the "true" template(s) for historical analysis is/are to find the right overlay(s) or lens(es) to ascertain who was grabbing power, by what means, and how measured, is it also not unreasonable to hold this primordial dynamic accountable for the apparent inability of individuals to separate love from the trappings of power, and to be freer with their feelings?!
