Why aren't those of a different nationallity who serve in our military given citizenship automatically. I believe this was the practice at one time.

does anyone know what other countries do? I certainly think they should be granted citizenship for military service even if it wasn't wartime service.

Because they have plenty.

and unfortunately I have read of these individuals being deported after service

Some while they are stilol serving

Definitely should get citizenship at once.

It is my belief that if you are willing to serve in our military and place your life on the line for this country that with proper classes you should be granted citizenship automatically. It was my belief that those who served in this manner were granted citizenship always. What is your idea on the matter?
