QUESTION Trump and His Lessons Unlearned - TheHumanist.com

This is what happens when there is an epic dearth of experience in the State Department due to unprecedented purges. This is what happens when amateurs have the hubris to believe life is simply black and white. Because of the benefit of hindsight, they believe that those who came before them were academic fools, and they feel certain that their decisions would have been different if they had been the decision maker. They foolheartedly support political actions without fully considering the order of effects that may result.

Trump may very well get his wish—regime change in Iran—but the result will very likely not be at all what he envisions.

Managed perception. You're quite frankly, no disrespect intended, stuck in an illusion. This has nothing to do with lessons to learn from. They know exactly what they are doing. Trump may or may not even know what's going on though. He, either way, is simply the reactionary puppet to the world in efforts to manage a perception Iran is what they want you to think it is. And what's going on there is deserving of our unwanted involvement. Sometime in the future we will learn this was an orchestrated plan by the CIA and a group related to the Iraq Iran war to attempt a destabilization within Iran. As the article mentions and tends to lead one towards. This is the same thing being done in Venezuela. If they could manage to get a group in Korea under their thumbs you'd see this there also. But Kim has his country pretty well locked up from allowing anything like this to happen. So all they can do there is place sanctions on them to create a low standard of living. I would imagine we will get more out of this when some real independent investigative journalist can get into the country and do a real assessment of the situation. Iran however is not Venezuela. They are more likely to drop a hammer on the situation to stifle this quickly. Where Venezuela is more of an easy prey left on their own.
