The biggest reason is CO2 was 0.03% of the atmosphere approximately in 1890 and today it is approximately 0.041% of the atmosphere approximately. If you display that on a linear graph you would not see any change over that time. but they always display the increase in CO2 on a logarithmic graph that makes that slight increase look very large. If you study chemistry, physics and thermodynamics it just doesn't make sense. Another thing is all heat leaving the earth must leave this infrared radiation or be reflected off the clouds back into space. Also water and water vapor is the only gas in the atmosphere that operate in the latent heat range and because CO2 is very soluble in water and heavier than air the rain is constantly bringing it back down to the lower altitudes where plants can use it as fools for producing organic compounds. There is much written about all this on the Internet but very few people read all the articles even on this website people are supposed to be open-minded but they refuse to look at the other side of global warming. It still needs a lot of research to be done to understand the weather system and mechanisms to keep this planet stable temperature system which has worked very well for millions of years.

This sub-site of NASA seems to address most, if not all of the issues you raise.

Looks like a linear graph to me.

You are kidding, right? If you're not, cite sources, numbers, research done, and methodology employed because this puppy thinks you're way off base here.

you're only looking at one side of the picture keep an open mind and research the other side yes we are having planet warming throughout the solar system. Maybe the majority is wrong thistime time will answer that question. What about the coming Ice Age they predicted in the 1960s it never happened either.

@dc65 -- I have an open mind, my friend. I have seen no compelling data indicating otherwise. Show it to me.

@evidentialist A real truth about CO2 emissions is it's growing at 1% to1.5% a year and nobody is going to stop using energy so we should be planning for global warming and learn to live in a warmer climate. The rest of the world wants the same thing Americans have. If you believe CO2 is causing global warming the best technology we have to eliminate carbon dioxide released to the atmosphere is nuclear energy. With a surplus of energy the oil companies can convert CO2 back to hydrocarbon fuels and other products. Nuclear energy can be done safely the French have been doing it for many years now.

Please cite your sources for these statements; I'd very much prefer to discuss this from the source materials produced by those most familiar with the issues. A lot of what you have said appears to be overly speculative about issues more nuanced than you are making out to be.

you can research this on the Internet a lot of my information comes from my own knowledge of chemistry and physics and thermodynamics and many years of research reading different articles I try to read everything on both sides of climate change global warming issue and keep up with the latest information do some research on how cosmic rays and solar output may affect the climate here on earth the climate models are not accurate do some research on that by different authors be sure not to look at just one person comments on anything and it's very hard to determine what is accurate information to completely understand where I'm coming from it will take you many hours of research to draw the same conclusion that I have reached and if you can tell me where I'm wrong I will be glad to admit. I have not seen a scientific explanation of exactly how CO2 affect infrared radiation because it only absorbs a narrow band of infrared I believe it's in the 650 nm range. The low percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere can possibly be creating a warming especially when water vapor is 98% responsible for the greenhouse effect on the planet Earth and water vapor is the only gas in the atmosphere it operates in the latent heat range and if you don't understand what I'm talking about lookup latent heat on Google be sure to understand and how it works. Wikipedia may be a good source to. Also read some of my other discussions on this website.
