The Man Who Old The World
I probably need to either read the lyrics or listen half a dozen times. I appreciated that the instruments are acoustic and the lyrics understandably enunciated.
We passed upon the stair
We spoke of was and when
Although I wasn't there
He said I was his friend
Which came as a surprise
I spoke into his eyes
I thought you died alone
A long long time ago
Oh no, not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the man who sold the world
I laughed and shook his hand
And made my way back home
I searched for form and land
For years and years I roamed
I gazed a gazeless stare
At all the millions here
I must have died alone
A long, long time ago
Who knows? Not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the man who sold the world
Who knows? Not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the man who sold the world
@Gatovicolo thanks very much for that. Great lyrics. Still not sure about the tune ... lacking ambience?
Itβs an old Bowie tune from Ziggystardust@FrayedBear
@Gatovicolo I should perhaps explain that my musical exposure during the 60.'s and 70's and beyond excluded most pop. Hence why you will always find me deficient in knowledge of pop singers and their music unless they were also into folk, jazz or classical music.
I thank you again for the additional knowledge.
My pleasure@FrayedBear
