Comments in a group

Is there anyway to decide which of your comments should be public? I commented in a group, and just noticed it is public. I thought that was one of the points of separate groups, especially when you post something considered "sensitive" material. I may not want everybody to know that particular "thing" about me, maybe to just share it with the other people in the group.

I just looked, and I'm not seeing any kind of privacy settings for...anything really...I'd like that as a feature of the site. Anyone else?

I delete afore mentioned comment by the way...
