"If you happen to despise religion as much as I do, I'm asking you to stop being polite and come out and say so. And if you happen to be rich, give some thought to ways in which you might make a difference. The religious lobby in this country is massively financed by foundations such as the Templeton Foundation and the Discovery Institute. We need an anti-Templeton to step forward. ... Let's all stop being so damned respectful!"
Dawkins said this in his Ted Talk way back in 2002. What have we done to give the atheist community a louder voice in American politics since then?
What foundation, institute or other organization have you found to be effective in furthering the atheist and non-religious community's voice in American politics? And do you give to them?
I contribute to Planned Parenthood, the ACLU and other organizations that are oppressed by the religious establishment. I disagree with regard to showing respect. Lack of civility in today's society is resulting in extreme factional positioning. Respect for each other is the main ingredient in solving this problem. We may not be able to win the war against religion, but we might be able to stop the oppression of anti-religious thinking and more firmly establish our right to freedom of conscience. We all really can get along.
This list makes interesting reading, not sure of accuracy, it has Donald Trump as an anti religious celebrity.

I seriously doubt any big foundations or institutions are there supporting atheistic cause.
@MichaelSpinler - that's the type of information I'm looking for!
