Never had any interaction with any, but like any other religion, it has its place in society. and as long as nobody is harmed I have no problem with it

I personally think that whatever religious people found different and incomprehensible they declared as satan.

A dear friend many, many years ago... nicknamed "Taboo" offered sacrifices to satan... he became convinced there was no satan... because of being a No Show, those cats ain't coming back. But since he is dead, he knows the truth now.
