This is the real way these terms function. I’m sure that guy I was arguing with yesterday would disagree and tell me that he can’t stand me. I don’t remember his name, maybe DoucheyDave, idk, something like that.

Agnostic is a knowledge statement. I can not claim to know that a god does not exist if the definition of god is something that can not be detected or comprehended. I am therefore an agnostic.

Atheist is a belief statement- I do not believe there is a god, or I do not believe in god.

Most atheist are also agnostic. In my case I can not claim to know what I by definition can not know. So I am agnostic. But I do not spend my time wondering if there could be a magic unicorn god living in my butt. I am with all of my knowledge, experience and understanding 100% certain there i no god, so I am an atheist.

I'm flexible on this. But I do love the alternative term to those two words. Skeptic. Yes , that's what I am. I'm skeptical.
