Should people who think this is probably the only life we'll ever have use the word 'soul' if they don't think there's any 'essence' they have which goes on after death?

This question isn't about whether you think there is a soul or not it's whether people who don't believe in an 'eternal personal essence' of any sort ought to give the word 'soul' lip service as it promotes the idea that it's a valid claim.

N.B. Yes we all know 'Soul' is a real musical category so please don't state the obvious when answering!

It's a meaningless word, especially when you're dead.

I like soul music, someone can be the soul survivor and someone can give soulful look/
