Yes this an appalling act that should’ve never been started but we need to refocus our energy on stopping the ideology behind it and not going after doctors who perform it.

And I say this because just like when abortions were illegal women were going to back ally sadists to have them performed and right now in country’s and states that have laws against it the families more often than not have a someone who’s not a medical professional conduct the procedure in a non sterile environment and in some cases with very arcane instruments.

So until we can get religious leaders to openly condemn this act the perpetrators will feel justified in committing it.
Just saying cutting the tail off the snake only makes more cautious and willing to strike so we need to get the head for once.
