FTA: Physicists at Beijing’s Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) are are designing the world's biggest particle smasher. If built, the 100-kilometre-circumference facility would dwarf the 27-kilometre Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, Europe’s particle-physics laboratory near Geneva, Switzerland — and would cost around half the price.
I seriously believe that once they figure out how to harness it and can build a craft that can maintain one of these we’ll actually get out of our own solar system and quite possibly achieve speeds 10 times as fast anything we have now.
Or we’ll destroy humanity which with the way we’re going might just be an improvement on a galactic scale.
