There are many interpretations of this song from the obvious to the devious. What is your take?
Considering the era, I think it's harmless, It's just a song. Men and women of that time period had obvious roles that were yet to be tested and broken. and although everyone still had wild sex back then they were very modest and were not vocal about it. Fits the times.

Contextually, at the time, she was looking for a valid excuse to stay. Women simply couldn't say so in that era. Because of this, I don't have a problem with this song, though I understand why some people would.
And for the record, I'm only referencing the song, I did not watch the video.

@btroje I watched it just now. Still not offended. I think it's cute, as it was intended to be.
It's an old song from the 40's, not sure what the song writer had in mind, but I suppose some people could look at it in a misogynistic way.
