@AxeElf The gospel of John starts off "1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind"... -It is probably in connection to some stupid doctrine of the preexistence of Christ/doctrine of the Trinity, that they are being force-fed with their science lesson.
I think it's a stretch to term this "child abuse" but it is certainly "child neglect" and the worst people in this equation are the parents, though, sadly, they likely don't realize it. The parents are the ones who choose these private sectarian schools, pay the extra $$ to send their children there, thereby pay the teachers and administrators, and support the publishers of such curricula. Without them, none of this would be possible.

It says 4th grade science quiz, so I am guessing it is a christian elementary school.
