They say that the NSA answers to no one, not to the president, not to the senate and congress and not even to the constitution. Some kind of a dangerously powerful bunch of guys.
We are being ruled by military industry. President, elections, congress, political parties and their conflicts is all just puppet theater for the masses.
How right you are, bro!
I love America. We Filipinos love America, in spite of everything. I still have that childrood dream of mine of driving crisscross, up and down all states, from LA to NY, stopping at road houses for the night, talk to the bar maidens and know their life stories, and witness a barroom brawl and maybe join in if the guys aren't too big coz I'm only about 5'5", lol.
I'm so saddened, based on what I've read & heard, since I learned to read and write in English, that your USA has been a police state since the 1950s.
They may say that, bu the NSA does have oversight.
They do have access to far more information than can be used in courts, as a lot of their information gathering cannot be legally used, as it violates constitutional rights. That may or may not give them power depending on who a person is and what they have done.
I agree. But those guys really do operate beyond legal means disregarding the constitution.
There are supposed to be checks and balances where executive, legislative and judicial balance. Supposedly both the executive branch and congress is supposed to have some jurisdiction over the NSA but a lot of the time the work is so secretive that nobody seems to know what’s even going on within the agency. In my humble opinion a lot of government has become so secretive and complicated that really nobody knows what’s going on. These agencies can be good or bad depending on who’s in charge. Just look at the executive branch right now. I sure don’t know the answer to your question.
That's correct, their work is so secretive, they lack or they virtually disregard the constitutional rights of people making them a breeding ground for corruption.
The president is really just a figure head, but he could start a war that could end our so-called civilization prior to a congressional intervention. The NSA seems to do what it wants regardless of what laws they impose upon. So yes, I'd say the NSA is more powerful.
I agree with you. Thanks
