New experience today. Dog & I were on our daily walk and we flushed a flock of a few small birds that was no more than about 5' (2 meters) from us which surprised me and the dog.
Out of no where a hawk swooped down and covered a lingering bird. Flying feathers, outstretched wings, and the haw was away with her prey in her claws. All that was left was a pile of feathers.

I saw this happen almost right in front of my home in Charlotte, NC. Same pile of feathers left behind.
