LINK Moving beyond AI hype to reality - POLITICO

There are stories and movies predicting the outcome of an AI based society. We aren't listening though. Curiosity killed the cat, right? I believe that society is on it's 4th ot 5th life right now.

The common meaning of AI is not AI. We are decades or centuries away from AI. And 4th or 5th? It depends upon the society -- I think the Hindu are at 11 -- I don't remember any of the others...
