I know what you mean. I have a cousin who is my political opposite, and when we're together at a family function, we just don't bring it up, and we get along fine that way.
@tnorman1236 Yes, much better on the nerves too.
My daughter was brainwashed into religion when she met & married her husband, & that topic has to be kept closed for us to be civil with each other too.
