A Riot of Colors
Flowerpots are blooming mightily. Flowers are cheering. Have always loved vivid colors.
Fertilized with half-strength Miracle Grow in mid-April and mid-May. Will continue removing spent flowers and fertilizing once a month.
I took a risk planting the pots in early April. In mid-April, we had lows in the 30s. Luckily, against the building, the plants didn't freeze.
Protected on the South-facing deck, the plants bloom through Thanksgiving. It kills me to dig out flowering plants to decorate for winter holidays.
