I have been watching a doco on RECONSTRUCTION that I find fascinating. It has filled in a few gaps of my education.

If Southern Democrats had not changed & ignored the provisions of Reconstruction at the end of the Civil War there would never had to been The Civil Rights Act of 1954 & 1968

Yes, I grew up with separate bathrooms and water fountains in some public places. Our history is as sorry as a lot of countries.
