Coincidences.

I love coincidences.
Pi Day, Einsteins birthday, Stephen Hawkings passing all on 14th March.
I have an ex whose grandmother shares my birthday, she shares my grandmothers birthday and both our grandmothers were called "Dorrie" My son was born 7/9 and it was fathers day that year as well as my parents wedding anniversary, his 21st would be their 50th, his girlfriend at high school was on mothers day. The last known thylacine died on 7/9/36 50 years to the day before my son was born, it was named Benjamin as they didn't know it was female, my son is also Benjamin, it is Endangered Species day, my daughters birthday is World Wetland Day, I work with endangered species and specialise in wetlands. None of it has any significance, except to point out how we tend to see patterns and coincidences.

In addition to Einstein's birthdate, today is also the anniversary of the births of Italian astronomer Giovanni Schiaparelli, German physicist Paul Ehrlich, Norwegian physicist Vilhelm Bjerknes, Polish mathematician Wacław Sierpiński, French philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty, American astronomer Heidi Hammel and British nanoscientist Jeremy Baumberg.

So, if you want your kids to be clever, aim for them to be born on the 14th of March!
