Why let it remain and then cover it up? That doesn't make sense. The truth should be available for all to see.
This has been around for a long time. I read about it a few years back. It is one of the few representations of our history accurately displayed in a public art form. I don't wish students emotional pain but when we don't understand or remember history we will repeat it.
