Is atheism the right replacement?

Everything’s ‘dying’ 🙂 Glancing at the local obituaries to read the litany of those ‘heading home to their maker’ reminds me that religion can die, too. But in the US, it’s morphed into politics. Perhaps it’s always been that way, but it’s creep into the political side seems to be keeping ‘it’ alive.

As Atheism is the antithesis of Religion, it’s reasonable it would be it’s alternative.. It’s not as though Atheism would replace religion, it would simply free people to pursue and appreciate reality based concepts and goals. Waste another half a day listening to BS in a church … or excite your children about farming, wave energy, insect design & function, the water cycle, the seasons, plate tectonics and evolution(!)?

Perhaps not, they tend to morph over time and evolve to survive. But that does mean that they could loose their supernatural claims, which is no bad thing.

However it should not be forgotten that the wounded tiger is often the most dangerous, and I think that we are certainly seeing a lot of that in the theist dominated world today, and will perhaps see more. The days when Christians are releasing gas in the railway stations, may not be far off.

No, changing maybe.

@Jossh Cuts across all institutions Josh. Politics, sovereignty, capitalist industry. Religion isn’t authentic.
