These more or less represent the China most people expect to see. I did. Though not disappointed, the first one shows more like what conteporary China is becoming. Also, not disappointing but surprising.
My granddaughter lives in a high rise like the one pictured - 12th. floor of 34 total. Thousands of these buildings flank the railways and roads. they are being built, also by the thousands to accommodate the millions that China is urbanizing as they grow in industrial might.

Like a fish to water. One might suspect her of being born there and spirited away from the hospital on a USA bound plane. Her Chinese is fluent and natural. Since she was a little girl, there have been no doubts about how grand children or great grandchildren will look.
