One doesn't think about a tub being a luxury in some countries. We kind of take it for granted here. I rarely use a bathtub because I like the convenience of the shower.

When I was little, we only had a bath tub. Well, there was a shower over it, but it didn't work properly. So when I eventually moved to a place with a shower that worked (49 years ago), I used it all the time. The number of baths I've had since then would be barely into double figures.

You can't beat a bath for relaxation after a hard day, but the shower leaves you cleaner.

Being from a third-world country, it's really treated as a luxury to have a tub in the house. Since I arrived here in US, been using the tub frequently.
