Catholicism seems to be more of a ritual. Follow the rules and everything will be ok. Evangicalism is more about the afterlife. A whole lot of do's and don'ts one of which is getting saved as often as possible so that one can inherit the kingdom of heaven whatever that may constitute. Streets paved with gold, probably not. Then there are people/men who think there are 92 virgins waiting for them. (extremist islam). Its all a little crazy.
Personally I would like to think we are on a journey but you do have to believe in some kind of afterlife for that. The reincarnation thing is quite interesting.
