Where is the first picture? Goat Rocks?

@GeorgeRocheleau

I took the first picture from a small airplane. It's Mt. Rainier (14,441 feet) wrapped by the Enchantment Mountains, WA.

The Enchantments are close to Wenatchee, WA, where I live.

@LiterateHiker I'm surprised to see how close it is to Leavenworth.

@GeorgeRocheleau

Leavenworth is in the mountains.

@LiterateHiker I lived in Leavenworth for a little month. Worked for a little while for the Forest Service.

How come the description of Western Washington behaviour in these conditions is very similar to Ireland???

@Paddyperiara

Ireland and Western Washington have similar climates.

@LiterateHiker, makes sense. I found funny how similar people behave in such different parts of the world.
