Fun ways to raise money for causes

I work for a university that likes to have community involvement. Sometimes we raise money for charities. What is the most innovative/fun way you have seen organizations raise money for a good cause??

Back in ancient times, the Temples had temple prostitutes. They raised a lot of money and the faithful enjoyed the religious experience.

Artists often make things they can’t sell or even give away..so I asked for donations and had a pottery silent auction/party and raised over $900 for hurricane relief in Puerto Rico. Such a success I may do it every year.
