Good luck with that job Trump. We are all living in an Indian reservation now.

I loved something I saw online. A tribal member testified before Congress some years back and the spirit of what he said is EXACTLY what this nation needs. UNITY. It is UNITY that will save this nation. Nothing less. You can not put self-interest so high on your list of priorities. At some point unity will bring everyone together to bring down interests that are ultimately unAmerican. I do not know the full story as it relates to the legal battle between this specific tribe and the US government, however I DO know that the timing was absolutely not in line with true American values. There is a pandemic going on. Why now? I feel ashamed as I read this story and the full implications of what it says about our nation currently.

Apparently Trump tweeted "Republicans shouldn’t vote for H.R. 312, a special interest casino Bill, backed by Elizabeth (Pocahontas) Warren. It is unfair and doesn’t treat Native Americans equally!” some time ago in reference to this matter. The use of language in the tweet is unbecoming of an individual of political power in this varied, multicultural landscape of ours. Why tolerance for this? Who stood up and said "NO!" when the President acted in this manner. We heard the term used repeatedly and the public were largely silent. WHY? Is it now acceptable practice to mock national origin?
