Wow, I had no idea that Zum Riesen in Miltenberg, Germany, is one of the oldest hotels in the country, dating back to 1411! It's always fascinating to learn about the history and heritage of different hotels around the world.

I always find it fascinating to learn about the history behind places that have been around for centuries. The Zum Riesen hotel in Miltenberg, Germany, is a prime example of this! BTW, I'm looking for some places to stay in Spain. My friend suggests I rent apartment Alicante. But, I would like to have a nice view of historical sites. Maybe you know something?

I always love to visit places like this. Gladly there're plenty of hotels, which are close to historical landmarks. I've recently returned from Bilbao, and there are a lot of nice places to check out.

Love it that there is still a pump outside. If you were building a big new house/hotel in 1411, you would of course want to put it next to a good well. Picture the hotel servants drawing buckets of water, to brew the beer, swill the floors and boil the guests cloths in the laundry.
