I see this word “systemic” used a lot in connection with racism. In what sense is racism systemic? It seems to me that it’s not so much the system that is racist but some of the people who twist and misuse the system in an illegal way. The system used to be racist.
I suspect the word is being used to mean “pervasive”.
Yes, most people hide their racism or eboniphobia.
