Why are fundamentalist Christians opposed to single payer health care? The opposition to this measure seems to me to be in direct conflict with the teaching of the "Good Samaritan" parable.
Romans 7:2
For a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husban dies she is released from the law of marriage.
My mother was a devout Christian from Italy. My father was not and abandoned her with my two sisters and me still in the womb. He died thirteen years later. My mother, a beautiful woman, lived as a celibate these years and several more until she remarried. This abscene belief, promoted by a misogynistic patriarchy, brought pain and suffering, not only in her life, but the life of her children.
