This is an awesome victory for a candidate who, unlike Engel, is not a paid Senior Manger by Corporations and their lobbies. And though Israel-Palestine was not a campaign issue, Israeli Lobby favorite Engel slammed Bowman for having the audacity to suggest the U.S. should withhold funding the Israeli army as long as Israel detains Palestinian children in military prisons. We don’t, he pointed out, support jailing children in immigrant detention centers, so why would support Israel in this?

Kudos to Bowman and WOOHOO for a progressive overturning another corporate-shill seat in the House.
