LINK Wilford Brimley, actor and Quaker Oats pitchman, dies at 85 - CNN

I really liked this guy. Absence of Malice was the first flick I saw him. He was great in Cacoon. Most younger people know him as the Quaker Oats guy but he was a great actor. Wilfred Brimley. They're dropping like flies 😐

I'm sorry...always thought he was fun to watch! Wasn't his best line in "Cocoon" the one boasting about having an erection of "PURE STEEL?"

I particularly liked scene where the old boys schooled some young kids in the basketball court. The first time I saw him was when he stole the show in a bit role as Asst AG Wells in Absence of Malice.

He was always kind of the same guy in his movies, but it always worked. Always enjoyed his work.
