LINK In Symbolic Proclamation, Trump Says “a Nation Without Faith Cannot Endure” | Beth Stoneburner | Friendly Atheist | Patheos

Earlier this week, Donald Trump released a proclamation commemorating the 850th anniversary of Christian martyr Thomas Becket‘s death. (It seems safe to say this marks the first time Trump has heard of Becket.)...

What Donald really wants is for the nation to have faith in him, and with 40% of the nation supporting him in every word and deed he could literally start his own religion. Hell, he could even badmouth Jesus and still retain most of his followers: "I prefer messiahs who didn't get crucified."

That, in a nutshell, is the thing called the donald, the Orange Menace.

In what way has he NOT spawned a religion?

@Detritus So far, he's not tax deductible (just a tax dodge). 😉
