So, about a week ago, this man disarmed an armed robber at a 24 hour gas station mini-mart about a mile from my home. He is a former Marine. I posted the video on my Facebook page…and maybe here. Yesterday, the man was given a, well-deserved, Yuma County Sheriff’s Citizen’s Valor Award “For extraordinary heroism and exceptional courage while voluntarily coming to the aid of another citizen during an incident involving criminal activity at extreme, life threatening, personal risk in an attempt to save or protect human life.” (Notice the hat and t-shirt.
