Interesting summation. You never know, maybe the United States could make it into the twentieth century, before everyone else is done with the twenty first. But I shall not be holding my breath. lol

My brief comment on the above: I don't see any evidence that religion (following a religion, that is) has become taboo. "Homemaker" is not taboo, it's just an outmoded, ancient practice from another era (like flint-knapping).

On the other hand, racism and discrimination should be taboo, but sadly, they aren't.
