Don't blame the 'Christians' they have plenty enough to account for. Crucifixion's were mostly done before Christianity was established. In about 70 CE a Jewish uprising forced the Roman government to crack down on the cult (all religions are cults). It was said there were so many crucifixions that crosses were seen al the way to the horizon.

I'm not saying that the xtians particularly undertook crucifictions - just revere the symbol & one particular one.
Xtians of course have far better methods like burning at the stake and death following torture on the rack after applying thumb screws etc.

A Christian Nursery rhyme

In December meek and mild
In a manger our bless'd Christ child
But come spring time, wel'come see
That Babe Jesus nailed to a tree

Rated U suitable for family viewing each and every fucking Sunday

I've never previously encountered that little gem. Thanks Len.

Plenty of documentation of the barbarity of the religious folk from the past and the groups who claim to be religious using it to justify killing, raping and pillaging.
