Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Of course it wasn't. All the xtion nationalists want is revisionist history. Washington was pretty neutral in his remarks on religion. Jefferson redid the bible, New Testament, taking out all the Jesus divinity, anyone can see it at his home, and Google how it reads. Both Adams were Unitarian. Franklin was at best a deist, yet leaned away from gods as a scientist. Paine was outright anti religion. Hamilton wasn't all that religious either.
