I do not get stolen from and let it pass, I don't care how long it takes or how much it costs, I get my stuff back and I get even.
On the other hand if some one needs something from me, and I have it to give, no problem they can have it, no problem they just need ask.
The difference is a matter of consent, consideration and intent.
